Travellers are at the start line and they are raring according to QANTAS CEO Alan Joyce. And Joyce wants to take advantage of that increased demand by the sounds of it. From now until the 24th of June 2020, QANTAS is offering a serve of triple QANTAS points on a range of domestic flights for travel between the 27th of June and the 31st of October.
The triple points offer applies to all of QANTAS’ 92 domestic routes and 57 destinations according to Joyce.
“There is a huge pent up demand for air travel, with people wanting to get away after months of being stuck at home,” Joyce told the media.
“We know that these low fares will encourage even more people to get on a flight to take a short holiday or visit family and friends. This is a great opportunity to go to the amazing places in our own backyard that you haven’t got around to seeing, like the Barossa Valley or the Great Barrier Reef.”
QANTAS has claimed though that any status-based multipliers for frequent flyer members will not be eligible for use of both offers (ie. Those members will only be eligible for triple points and not their standard multiplier).
QANTAS is also launching ridiculously low-cost flights on 22 domestic routes through their low-cost arm Jetstar. This includes $19 fares on a wide range of flights between Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville, Proserpine and Cairns.
The bookings sale for Jetstar will run until midnight on Monday the 22nd of June and are available on flights booked between July 14th and October 31 and include limited stock of said flights.
